Bluff Lake
Nature Center is Denver's first in-town natural open area
and is located on Sand Creek Regional Greenway.
You'll
find horses and kids from The
Urban Farm using the Greenway. The farm has amazing programs
for city kids to learn about agriculture and animals. Also
located on Sand Creek Regional Greenway.
Keep
up with the redevelopment of the former Stapleton
International Airport, home to one-third of the Sand Creek
Regional Greenway.

The
Audubon Society of Greater Denver has been involved with
the development of Sand Creek Regional Greenway from the beginning.
They offer birdwatching opportunities on the Greenway.

Like
many trails in Colorado, Sand Creek Regional Greenway trail
has benefited from the work of Volunteers
for Outdoor Colorado.
The
Park People is Denver Parks and Recreation's foundation.
A
national model for reclaiming land and developing greenways,
Sand Creek Regional Greenway learned some great lessons from
the Platte River Greenway and its supporting
foundation.
Terrific
Colorado Resources
Great
Outdoors Colorado (GOCO) provides funding, leadership
and technical assistance to preserve open space and develop
outdoor recreational resources in Colorado.
Colorado Governor Bill Owens declared 2002 Colorado Year of
Trails.
Our
Partners
The
City of Aurora has an extensive network of trails, parks
and natural open spaces.
Commerce
City is growing rapidly, and its parks and trails are
growing, too!
Denver's
in-town and mountain park, recreation and parkway system is
nationally renowned.
Nearly
1200 acres of new parkland and open space will be added to
Denver's Parks and Recration system with the redevelopment
of the Stapleton
Airport site.
